I love that guy! So twinkly in the eyes. And never without some wisdom to impart.
This morning he tweeted:
Human happiness and satisfaction come from within oneself. Check!
It is wrong to expect some final satisfaction from money. Check!
Or a computer.
Huh?
Hmm.
Sort of an odd pairing: "... from money or a computer."
Who is he talking to?
Himself?
Is the Dalai Lama getting all Twitter-addicted and trying to snap himself out of it? (It is WRONG to expect final satisfaction from a computer! WRONG. [slap! slap! slap!] MUST GET BACK TO DOING GOOD WORKS! FOCUS.)
Because who among us really expects "some final satisfaction" from a computer? I think everyone is well aware of the iPad's limitations.
If the Dalai Lama had said "It is wrong to expect some final satisfaction from money or the iPhone" that would make sense to me.
He would be mistaken on the latter point, of course.
But I would understand.
