I am weary of things being discontinued. I am weary of knowing that just moments after I purchase a new piece of technology, it will be discounted to make way for a spiffier version with more pixels, fewer shmixels, and 40% longer dixels!!!
(Yes, I know I just used the word 'spiffier.' And, yes, I know that’s a big part of the problem.)
Larry got an iPod shuffle for Christmas, but our computer operating system is so five-years-ago, the Shuffle is incompatible. When I inserted it into the USB port, my computer just yawned and passed gas.
Likewise for the free DVD player I got at work. Did you know you can’t plug a DVD player into a TV/VCR combo?
Did you even know there is such a thing as a TV/VCR combo?
While part of me would like to give my digital lifestyle an extreme makeover, the other part just wants everyone to SLOW DOWN FOR GOD’S SAKE, THE CAMERA YOU MADE LAST WEEK WAS FINE.
Which will it be for me in 2006?
