Monday was Pajama Party day. Easy enough. Both kids have pajamas. Check! And check! But they don't have the same kind of pajamas as Seth and Corbin have! (Tears, tears, tears) And I don't want to wear FOOTBALL pajamas! I wanted to wear my SHARK pajamas. (Tears, sobbing, tears.) "Your Shark pajamas are too small. The pants barely cover your knees, Gus. Patrick wears those pajamas now." "HE GETS TO WEAR MY SHARK PAJAMAS TO SCHOOL?" Tears, tears, tears, strapping into car seat, and off we go for our first day of (what was that again?) "fun and exciting activities for my child to enjoy."
Tuesday. Circus Day! Dress like a clown! Because everyone has a couple of clown suits just lying around the house collecting dust. Even worse than no clown suits, though, was the fact that we had one clown suit. Sized to fit the youngest child. (The one who got to wear the shark pajamas.) "I want a clown suit like Patrick's!" "We only have one. Which is why you get the really special costume." "What special costume?" "You get to be a Mexican Fire Clown!"
Tomorrow is Super Hero Day! Dress as your favorite super hero or fantasy character. Finally, Patrick's the one who's getting hosed. While Gus still has his Hulk costume from Halloween:
