I'd sew it on his sleeve. Along with all the others.
I'm thinking the patch system might win me some respect from the doctors, too. Considering I've managed to diagnose every ear infection my kids have ever had three days before the doctors could. Not to mention three days before the boys' ear drums popped like flesh water balloons.
Of course, I understand the doctor can't prescribe antibiotics because I have a hunch. For whatever scientific reasons, he can't see my hunches through the otoscope.
But I bet he could see a neatly sewn row of Ear Infection Endurance badges, each embroidered with the subscript, "I told you so."
The badges would give the toddlers something to talk about around the water cooler, too. Patrick could saunter up in his little Pediatric Scout jacket, and his buddies would be all, "DUDE! That jacket is totallysick!"
